3 weeks left...... Wait, WHAT??!!

That's right people.. I have only 3 weeks left here!! I have absolutely no idea where the time has gone, it's flown by so fast - I don't really want my time in Lyon to be over and done with so quickly, but at the same time, I am looking forward to going back to the UK and see my family and friends for Christmas.

In these past couple of weeks, I have finally had my dissertation proposal approved, which means I have a LOT of research to do before I leave. And typically, after taking and reading about 10 books, I have only found 2 or 3 that could possibly be useful... Looks like I'm not going to have much of a social life and and I might as well put up a sleeping bag in Part Dieu library. I guess it could be worse though, and I am getting somewhere with it.
There is a museum about the French Resistance in WW2 in Lyon that Ellie and I went to the other week. We couldn't go there beforehand, as it had only just finished being refurbishmed, but it was worth it. It was incredibly interesing, and as it could be very useful for my dissertation, and it was free entry, I may have to go in there again.

I have also completed the online registration for l'Universita di Tornio (which is where I will be for the second semester). I mentionned in my last entry that it took me about 3 weeks to get the username etc to do it from them. Luckily, apart from getting a passport photo that doesn't take up too much memory to stick on the form, I didn't have any further problems with it. As far as I know, there isn't anything else I can do for that at the moment, except try to find out when my course starts over there (I still don't know yet, it's ridiculous!) and try and find somewhere to stay - so if anyone in Italy knows any good house sharing websites etc etc, please tell me =)

I have had 2 controle continus in Japenese in these past 2 weeks, and I did a lot better than I thought I did; and I have only just got used to the idea and most of the symbols as it's ending - typical isn't it?! I have only a week and a half of lectures left before exams start, which again is scary; even if I don't have to take them - Bangor say that they don't matter as they think that getting immsersed in the culture and doing your dissertation should take priority. My FLE course (which is basically French for all the foreign students) has already finished. It's going to be weird not having classes in French, as I feel I only just got used to it the other week, and also, not seeing the French friends I've made anymore. I'm going to miss them so much =(

Like I said, I am looking forward to Christmas and seeing everyone back home, so this is to all of you... it's only 3 weeks....

Bit of a boring one compared to the others, but hey, what can you do.
Sayonara,
Charlotte
