Jellicle Cats come out tonight!
Got a couple of bits to tell you about...
Firstly, we now have a pet in the house; a cat to be precise. My landlady has now got a 2 month year old kitten and it is ADORABLE!! Normally, it likes sitting on my lap, and (because it's teething), scratching everything, whether it be carpet, my bed frame or shoelaces; I draw the line at my laptop or phone charger cable. I have found it strange as I don't really know how to behave around a cat. One of my best friends has a dog and I have a goldfish that I am sharing with my boyfriend at the moment, but I have never really had any interaction with cats. I am learning though; unlike a dog, a wagging tail is a bad sign, but I think puuring is good... Only thing is, it still doesn't have a name yet...
Secondly, my parents and my brother came out to visit me for a few days last week. I really enjoyed them being here and showing them around the city, and they got plenty done, when I was with them and I had to be in work. I used the time with them to see more with them that I haven't been to, the two main ones being the Musée du Vin et du Négoce and CapScience.
I also managed to take my parents to the majority of places that I have been to, including resturants! I showed them the Musée Aquitaine, and my brother and my Dad got a tour of Grosse Cloche courtasy of Ellie whilst Mum and I did some shopping. I managed to take them to Regent for a steak, Pizza Pino for a pizza (of course), and we also managed to find a new place. It's called Nom de crêpe, and as you have probably figured out, it is a crêpe place, just like they do in Normandy and Brittany - with cide in tea cups and all. I can now say that I have had Specaloos in a crêpe... so good!!
I have now been on a tour bus for the first time. Ellie and I decided to do some toursit-y stuff yesterday, and so, after taking her to the wine museum (my 2nd time), we decided to take one of the buses that the tourist office does. It was a double-decker, something you don't see in France (you're more likely to see the bendy buses); and we decided to do that one over the other because it did more on the other side of the Garonne, and we thought it would be better seeing as we have only been over the bridge once. On Saturday, I went back to Cap Ferret for the afternoon. It was really nice with slightly cooler weather, only I managed to burn the back of my legs. It's harder to put suncream there when you have sand in the way...
I know this one has been a while too, and I'm sorry. Not as much has happened as before, but I hope that changes as I do not have much longer left...
